Program Overview

The project was founded in 1984 with the objective of giving proper medical assístance in different areas for people who can not afford a private service, specially disabeled people. Approximately 20 Ecuadorian doctors volunteer on the centre and also local University students do their internship in the foundation.

Location: Quito.
Accomodation: Homestay or student residence.
Meals: Half board, 7 days a week.
Dates: Year round, according to availability. August and December, limited placements.
Program duration: Minimun two weeks.
Requirements: Minimum age 18. Basic Spanish skills. 
Commitment to teach 15 hours during the week.

Volunteers should have an entusiastic attitude and keen interest in the medical field, actitvities would be assigned according to participant’s experience.
